Why Skipping Meals Makes You Fat
The body is designed to store fat if it thinks it is going to starve. One of the things that make the body think it is going to starve is skipping meals. Many dieters skip meals thinking they can reduce their caloric intake. This backfires because it tells the body there is a famine coming and it needs to store fat. So the next time you eat, your body will struggle to turn every calorie into fat. Therefore, the best way to lose weight is to eat healthily and frequently.
So How Do I Do This?
The first step is to burn more calories than you eat. Your body needs about 1200 calories a day to function properly. This means that every calorie over 1200 that you eat needs to be burned off through exercise.
Second, be sure to eat something at least every three hours. This way, the body will never think that a famine is coming and that it is safe to burn off the calories instead of storing them as fat.
Eat three healthy meals a day. Eat healthy snacks in between each meal so that you don’t allow more than three hours to pass between eating.
Third, you need to exercise for two reasons. First, you need to burn off your existing fat as well as the calories you eat each day in excess of 1200 calories. Second, exercise can tone your muscles. Toned and strengthened muscles burn more calories at rest than weak muscles do. The stronger your muscles are, more calories you bean while sitting around.
Finally, you need to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. You need to try to get the majority of your carbohydrates from vegetables. These kinds of carbohydrates do not make you fat. The ones that make you fat are the ones found in sugar, grains and starchy foods.
This is the most healthy and best way to lose weight. Fad diets, starvation and pills and medication are all bad for the body. Moreover, most people put all the weight back that they managed to lose using these scams.
